Biography of:
Sandy Cunningham
Sandy Cunningham was born and raised in
Milwaukee but many years ago
moved to Richland County, where she has ancestral roots. She is past
director of the Richland Country History Room located in the Brewer
Library and currently works as the manager of the Red Door Gallery.
She has a son, Andy, and lives in Richland Center.
Cunningham paints wildlife and other subjects on feathers using
acrylic paint and very fine brushes. She was encouraged to attempt
this unique art form by her son many years ago when he asked for help
on a school art project. Cunningham’s heretofore unexplored artistic
talents blossomed quickly and soon she was busy full-time, filling
commissions for her feather art.
