Biography of:
Michele Belisle
Michele Belisle’s current decoupage art work is on
display at the Red Door Gallery located in Valley Antiques. The 1950’s
“Elvis Table and Lamp” is a result of many months of detailed work. In
addition to this major piece she creates decoupage jewelry and other
interesting items. For many years she worked in fiber arts creating one of a
kind Fantasy Puppets that were sold through art shows, shops and galleries
in several states. She enjoys working with color and uses fantasy and whimsy
in her work.
Michele also creates through the written word. She has had both non-fiction
and fiction published. Most recently her short story, “Assumptions” appeared
in Heartlands, a literary magazine. She is currently working on a book of
short stories.
Michele lives and works in Richland Center. This has been her home for the
last 26 years. She is employed full time as the K-12 Crisis
Counselor/Homeless Liaison for the Richland School District. She shares her
life with her partner and husband, Gary Schwartz and her family…..daughter,
Abby (husband Ehren) and step-daughter, Jenny (husband Chad, children Ryenna,
Savannah) and the two cats! When not working or creating, Michele enjoys
reading, camping, traveling, and taking drives with Gary through the back
roads of beautiful Richland County.
