Dennis Fry

Pine River Woodcraft is a home-based custom woodworking shop. Since starting the business in 1981, I have worked with individuals, shops, and interior designers in the southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois areas, designing and building products ranging from small tables and boxes through kitchens and custom doors to built-in bookcases and entertainment centers.

The pieces shown are original designs made from start to finish here in my shop. All work involved, from selecting the wood to use for each piece to applying the finish, is done by me. I have built many of the machines that I use in my shop to do specific jobs required for my designs. Recently, I have even begun cutting and drying my own wood for some items to get the desired quality and appearance. Much of the work can only be done by hand, especially the final sanding and finishing.
